The project serves the needs of the park to accommodate an area where new activities can take place. In addition it serves to give the town more significance, an image which would be recognised by the towns people and would emphasise the entrance of the historical centre of the town when entering via José Alix Street. It formed a transition between the countryside of the park and the town buildings.
